Call for Research Particpants

One of SCN volunteers, Liza Saunders, is conducting her research project on positive change following psychosis-like experiences as part of her degree.

Project overview: Spiritual emergencies and psychosis experiences can be traumatic, and research suggests positive change may occur during, or after, the recovery period. The research aims to investigate how this change process happens and what/how social factors may impact this process.

How to participate: If you’ve had a spiritual emergency or psychosis experience, then you’re invited to participate in the project. Mostly, this involves completing an anonymous survey with various questionnaires and takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Why participate: Your insight and experiences provide a unique contribution to research offering hopeful, alternative narratives following such difficult experiences. To thank you for your time, you can opt-in for a chance to win 1 of 2 vouchers (valued at £50).

After the survey, you can also volunteer to be contacted about possibly being interviewed about your change experience(s). Everyone interviewed will receive a £25 voucher as thanks for sharing their time and experiences. (Interviews will also be anonymized).

To access the full Participant Information Sheet and complete the survey, you can scan the QR code in the participant flyer, or copy and paste the URL link into your browser:
